Police seek public's help after theft from Silver Falls State Park

More than $10,000 was stolen from several vehicles the afternoon of Dec. 3, Oregon State Police say


COURTESY PHOTO: OSP - This duo is suspected of thefts from several cars parked at Silver Falls State Park last month.Oregon State Police are asking the public to help identify suspects in the theft of more than $10,000 from several vehicles at Silver Falls State Park.

Police started on the case Dec. 3, when they were notified of several car break-ins between noon and 5 p.m. at the parking lot of the state park's Highway 214 Trailhead.

The subsequent investigation revealed the thefts totaled over $10,000 and that a stolen credit card was used at three Salem businesses shortly after.

The pictured male and female are suspects in the thefts and the pictured truck, or one like it is associated with the pair. The truck is a Ford, possibly with black rims and is likely a diesel.
