The youth service organization distributed toys to families in need on Dec. 21

INDEPENDENT PHOTO: JULIA COMNES - An attendee of the distribution day makes a selection from the pile of donated toys.INDEPENDENT PHOTO: JULIA COMNES - More than 300 toys were distributed to Woodburn families.The Youth Advisory Board, a Woodburn service organization that's part of the local Boys and Girls Club, held its second annual distribution on Dec. 21.

The group donated more than 300 toys to 163 local kids at the distribution day event.

Recipients not only picked up toys at the Woodburn Boys and Girls Clubhouse, but were also invited to enjoy bowls of pozole and watch movies.

The recipients were identified by the Woodburn School District as high-need.

In its first toy drive last year, the organization donated toys to 82 children.INDEPENDENT PHOTO: JULIA COMNES - Recipients of the toy drive distribution were able to pick out toys and enjoy a bowl of pozole.
