The event, which is open to the public, is a fundraiser for Woodburn Kiwanis projects

The Kiwanis Club of Woodburn presents its first-ever Casino Night on Feb. 3.

The event, which is open to the public, is a fundraiser for Kiwanis projects, which include scholarships (both for graduating high school students and for low-income participants of the city's parks and recreation activities), school supply donations, swimming lessons, Safety Camp, Cub Scouts, Key Club and the Terrific Kids program for middle school students.

The event will be held at the Woodburn Eagles lodge, 371 S. Pacific Highway.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for a prime rib dinner that costs $14 as well as a silent auction.

Games run from 7 to 9:30 p.m., with blackjack, Texas hold 'em, three card poker and spin the wheel. Tickets are $20, which gets you $500 of script (funny money). Participants can also cash in for raffle tickets for a chance to win prizes.

Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available by calling Gina Audritsh at 503-951-2344.
