First winter tea is this Thursday and features a guest speaker as well as tea, sandwiches and scones

FILE PHOTO - teaBauman's Farm & Garden has announced its lineup of afternoon winter teas.

These teas feature special guest speakers along with a full tea service including

sandwiches, scones and other homemade treats from Bauman's bakery.

The cost is $25 per person. Seating is limited, and pre-registration is required.

Teas will be Thursdays from 1 to 3 p.m. and will be held in the Farmhouse at Bauman Farms (except for the March 22 event).

Date: Feb. 8

Special Guest Speaker: Christina Edick, a Woodburn-based travel and food enthusiast and

writer of Christinas Food and Travel blog. Edick will be sharing fun and different ways for offseason enjoyment of frozen fruits.


Date: Feb. 22

Special Guest Speaker: Jan Roberts-Dominguez, author-illustrator of four cookbooks including "Oregon Hazelnut Country, the Food, the Drink, the Spirit." It contains over 150 recipes and shows how wonderfully simple it is to take your cooking to a new level with the help of hazelnuts, and provides a look inside the local hazelnut industry. Roberts-Dominguez will touch on many of these topics and will answer questions, share tales and tips for cooking, and provide guidance on how to create tantalizing hazelnut treats. She'll also explain why they are called hazelnuts instead of filberts.

Special Guest Speaker: Antimo Cimono, a Portland-based certified wellness and fitness coach, nutritionist, chef, leadership coach, founder of experiential travel company VoomaGo and author of the soon-to-be-released cookbook, "Food You'll Make Love To: Ah, Those Italians!" This cookbook is a

collection of recipes, photos, stories and memories around food and his Italian upbringing and teaches you to have fun and play with seasonal produce, herbs and spices.

Location: The Greenhouse at Bauman Farms

Special Guest Speaker: Lucy Hardiman, a nationally-recognized garden designer, writer, teacher, speaker and owner/principal of the award-winning Perennial Partners, a collaborative garden design group in Portland.
