The Verizon store is the fourth business at the retail property off of Arney Road

FILE PHOTO - Verizon, pictured here in December, has opened up next to Nancy Jo's Burgers and Fries and the soon-to-be-open Menchie's Frozen Yogurt.A Verizon Wireless retailer has opened its doors at the Woodburn Station retail property on Arney Road, located near the Woodburn Premium Outlets. The Woodburn location opened on Jan. 5, making it the fourth business on the retail property to open its doors.

Owned by Victra, a national company that operates authorized Verizon retailers, the store is the first standalone Verizon Wireless retailer in Woodburn.

The location near the Woodburn Premium Outlets and Interstate 5 factored into the choice of opening a store in Woodburn, said Rian Amabisca, district sales manager for Victra.

"The Woodburn outlets are a huge icon in this area," Amabisca said. "It's just constant traffic. You can go out there just about any day and watch cars drive through that street, just up and down. It's a perfect location."

The store is located in the same building as recently opened Nancy Jo's Burgers and Fries and the not-yet-opened Menchie's Frozen Yogurt. Located on the same property is Chipotle Mexican Grill and Starbucks, both of which opened in spring 2017.

Amabisca said the store will have a focus on the Woodburn community. "We're very community-based. With every store we've opened, we've tried to work within the community," Amabisca said. "We're very full-service, and we really want to help improve the community and the business community, just connecting the technology we offer to their lives."

Amabisca said the store will likely hold a grand opening event in the spring, once the weather is suitable for an outdoor event. "The store is open now, but once it's nice outside we might do a grand-grand opening," he said.
