North Marion Auction breaks records
The North Marion All-Schools Auction, held Saturday night at Woodburn Legacy Health Center, raised $53,500 for North Marion School District programs. This surpassed the goal of $50,000.
The event, which had a St. Patrick's Day theme since it fell on that date, featured a silent auction, dessert auction and live auction. The "Raise the Paddle" event for a specific project this year was to purchase new instruments for the middle and high school music programs. This year's Raise the Paddle event brought in $8,875, breaking a record for that as well.
"I just want to offer my heartfelt thank you to all of the attendees, sponsors, donors and amazing volunteers," auction board Chairman Glenn Holum said. "I am truly humbled as chairman of this event to continue to see the amazing outpouring of support that exists in the North Marion community!"
