The Woodburn Public Library has announced that Kaitlyn Nelson has been named the winner of the 2014 Summer Reading Art Contest.

Young people and adults alike can still take place in a new contest in celebration of National Poetry Month in April.

The library is celebrating with poetry displays that include poems to take for “Poem in your Pocket Day,” which is April 24, book recommendation lists of poetic selections, steps on how to make “Book Spine Poetry” and by having a poetry contest to kindle everyone’s creative spark.

Entries must be submitted by April 30.

Winners will be announced May 7 at 6 p.m. in the library. Participants will have the opportunity to read their poems aloud at that time.
