Woodburn High School has awarded 10 seniors $6,000 scholarships from the ECMC Foundation (Educational Credit and Management Corporation).

For the past two years, these seniors have been part of a 30-student cohort that enrolled in an elective class called “college readiness” and met regularly with college and career counselor Mario Garza as they navigated the admission and financial aid/scholarship process during their senior year.

The 10 winners this year were:

Jose Leon (Academy of International Studies), Crystal Cordero (Woodburn Academy of Art, Science and Technology), Maribel Legaria (WAAST), Dalia Lopez (WAAST), Liliana Morales (WAAST), Yelitza Santiago (WAAST), Ekaterina Seledkov (WAAST), Guadalupe Astorga (Woodburn Arts and Communications Academy), Sandra Mecinas (Wellness, Business and Sports School) and Joe Santos (WeBSS).
