Heritage raises over $4,700 for Pennies for Patients

Elementary school's annual fundraiser for cancer research surpassed its $4,000 goal

Heritage Elementary School's annual Pennies for Patients drive collected $4,723.96, exceeeding the school goal of $4,000.

The top fundraising class, which won an Olive Garden party, was Mrs. Beyer's kindergarten class, which collected $866.94.

The second place winner, winning a pizza party, was Mrs. Cruz's first-grade class, which collected $309.95.

The third place class, which won an ice cream party, was Mrs. Amaya's kindergarten class, collecting $258.10.

The money raised will support the cure of leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma, and will support the quality of life of patients and their families.
