SUBMITTED PHOTO - Funhouse Lounge is presenting Matt & Ben, a satirical comedy from the comedic minds of playwrights Mindy Kaling (The Mindy Project and The Office) and Brenda Withers. Its a Hollywood Cinderella story that grew from Good Will Hunting, a 1998 film that won an Oscar for Best Writing (Original Screenplay). Two young dreamers, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck (portrayed in this play by actresses Landy Hite, left, and Tiffany Dixon) sit around their run-down Massachusetts apartment in 1996, and toil over their burgeoning script. Or do they? This hilarious, sometimes scathing play, directed by Sara King, highlights a pivotal moment when a finished script changes everything. Donations at every show will be collected to support Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette. Performances are set for 7 p.m. Thursdays, Friday and Saturdays through April 30. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Admission to Thursday performances is on a pay what you want basis, as long as tickets are available. Funhouse Lounge is located at 2432 S.E. 11th Ave. in Portland. Call 503-309-3723 or visit funhouselounge.com.
