Electric vehicles are getting an extra push at the 2014 Auto Show with an exhibit promoting EV tourism. It will be held in the Clean Tech Center, which focuses on alternative fuel vehicles.

The exhibit will demonstrate how both residents and visitors can reliably drive from public charging station to public charging on the route called the Electric Highway in Oregon and Washington. It includes all of I-5 and portions of Highway 101 in both states.

The exhibit is a partnership of the auto show, Travel Oregon and Oregon Department of Transportation. It will feature a Nissan Leaf that is wrapped with the west coast highways map. The Leaf s donated by Enterprise Rent A Car at the Portland International Airport.

The auto show runs Jan. 6 to 9 at the Oregon Convetion Center, 777 N.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. For more information, visit heep://
