Auto Show open despite snow
The 2014 Portland International Auto Show is continuing its four-day run at the Oregon Convention Center despite the snow.
Organizers note the OCC at 777 N.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. is adjacent to a MAX station.
"Today is a great opportunity for an impromptu family day, said Greg Remensperger, executive vice president of the Metro Portland New Car Dealers Association and the show. People can take advantage of the school closings and head to the Oregon Convention Center, where its always 72 degrees indoors, to enjoy the wide variety of activities that we offer for the entire family, including more than 500 new vehicles that people can evaluate and enjoy.
Organizers urge anyone who drives to the show to use care on the roads, but notes that the outdoor Ride & Drives offered by numerous manufacturers are still happening.
