Yes, it was a few short months ago that one of the worst snow and ice storms in 40 years struck Sherwood and the Portland-metro area. During that time, it was estimated that 18 inches of snow fell on the city over a two-week period beginning Dec. 14 and ending Dec. 28. The low during those days was just shy of 16 degrees. Fast forward to this week where temperatures have been edging to 110 degrees in a heat wave expected to last until Thursday. Stay cool.
