Collection of local sixth-graders take down the competition with ease

G.E.A.R.S. — made up of Lily Pruzek, Cynthia Yang, Katelyn LeBlanc, Anika Sukmar and Melinda Lin — won the Global Innovation Award for their Smart Rider System invention. They also won the First Place Robot Performance Award and the First Place Champion's Award for best overall team. With their top finish, G.E.A.R.S. advanced to the FLL World Festival, which will take place in Texas next month.
