MISC.

12/4 8:33 p.m. Multiple suspects reportedly passed suspected counterfeit currency to cashiers at the Wilsonville Target store. Employees believed the 10 $100 bills passed by a man and a woman were forgeries, but a standard counterfeit detection pen did not identify the bills as counterfeit. Employees reported a similar case in recent weeks also involving a man and woman who passed suspected counterfeit currency worth $1,400 at the same store. Target loss prevention also reported that the merchandise “purchased” this way was being returned to Target stores in the San Francisco area and had been tracked via serial numbers and receipts. The U.S. Secret Service has been contacted for assistance.
