Police seek drive-thru flasher
Suspect has targeted coffee shops in Wilsonville, Tualatin and Lake Oswego
A serial flasher has exposed himself at drive-thru coffee shops in Wilsonville, Tigard, Tualatin and Lake Oswego in the past several days, and authorities are looking for help in catching the suspect.
For the last few weeks, employees at drive-thru coffee shops across the area have reported seeing a man in his 40s or 50s driving up to the shops windows without pants.Authorities said the most recent incidents were in Lake Oswego and Tualatin on Dec. 26.
According to Tualatin Police, a man wearing no pants masturbated as he pulled up to the drive-thru at Starbucks, located at 19321 SW Martinazzi Ave., at about 9 p.m.
Earlier that evening, he pulled up to a drive-thru Starbucks in Lake Oswego and placed an order, then when he arrived at the window, he began fondling himself.
Similar reports have been reported in Tigard and Wilsonville earlier last week, police said.
"The theory is this is happening frequently, and we are concerned that (it) can turn to something worse," said Lake Oswego Police Sgt. Tom Hamann. "So we want to hopefully identify him and capture him before that happens."
Tualatin Police describe the man as wearing a button-up shirt that was unbuttoned and pulled open. He was also wearing a baseball style cap with brown hair sticking out from the bottom of the hat. The suspect's vehicle was described as a dark gray or blue, newer sedan
Often he will turn his lights off before entering the drive-thru, police say, and has removed the license plate in advance.
Police say the lewd driver has been spotted on at least five different occasions, including at Coffee Rush on Scholls Ferry Road, as well as the Dutch Bros. Coffee on Pacific Highway.
