Police arrest alleged serial flasher
A Sherwood man arrested Saturday on suspicion of exposing himself to female employees at numerous south metro area drive-thrus is also suspected in a Dec. 26 incident in Wilsonville.
According to Wilsonville police, around 10:10 p.m. that night an unidentified white male, estimated at 40 years old, with no shirt and driving a brown or gold vehicle, came through the drive-thru window at the Arbys restaurant in the 8600 block of Southwest Citizens Drive. A female employee at the restaurant reported that a man she described as "heavy and dirty looking" exposed himself and masturbated after stopping at the cashier's window. The victim waited until the following night to contact police, after which investigation revealed similarities with other metro area incidents.
Robert Ray Martin, 48, of Sherwood, was arrested Saturday by Tualatin police and charged with 10 counts of felony indecent exposure in connection with a string of incidents at businesses around the metro area in which he allegedly exposed himself and masturbated in front of employees.
Martin was arrested at his Sherwood home by detectives who traced his vehicle and connected it with the string of incidents. He was lodged in the Washington County Jail and later released on bail.
