Soul'd Out set to return to New York City

Wilsonville High School A Cappella vocal group wins the ICHSA Western Semifinals

by: SPOKESMAN PHOTO: JOSH KULLA - Members of Wilsonville High School's Soul'd Out react to the news Saturday that are the winners of the 2014 ICHSA Western Semifinals, held at Rolling Hills Church in Tualatin. Sue Schreiner has built a powerhouse music program at Wilsonville High School, and nothing exemplifies that more than the A Cappella vocal group Soul'd Out.

From humble beginnings the group has grown in stature to where today Wilsonville's vocalists are known across the country for their musical skill, choreography and precision. In 2011 the group was invited to take part in NBC Television's "The Sing Off" following an earlier trip to New York City for the International Championship of High School Acappella.

This year, Schreiner will be taking another group to compete for a national championship after Soul'd Out's victory Saturday night in the ICHSA Western Semifinals held at Rolling Hills Church in Tualatin.

The 2014 Varsity Vocals International Championship of High School Acappella will be held Friday, April 25, at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater in New York City.
