Wilsonville man faces rape charges in alleged home invasions

by: CLACKAMAS COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE - DAVID MARTINA 32-year-old Wilsonville man was arrested Sunday, May 4, in Molalla in connection with separate incidents in which he is accused of entering the homes of two different Molalla women and raping them.

Molalla Police reportedly took David Brian Martin, 32, into custody near a Safeway supermarket near the intersection of highways 211 and 213 on numerous charges related to a pair of incidents investigators say led to the rape of two female victims.

Martin was arraigned Monday in Clackamas County Circuit Court. He is currently being held in the Clackamas County Jail on one count of first-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sodomy, one count of first-degree burglary, one count of first-degree kidnapping and three counts of second-degree kidnapping. There also was an outstanding warrant charging him with possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine at the time of his arrest Monday.

Bail is set at a total of $1.04 million on all charges. Additional counts of rape, sodomy, burglary, robbery and kidnapping have been dismissed.

According to court records, Martin allegedly entered the home of a Molalla woman in August 2013 and raped her. Police say he allegedly repeated the crime at a second home just two blocks away from the site of the first rape in April of this year. Two people were said to be present at the scene of the second attack.

Martin has prior convictions for felony sexual abuse, first-degree theft and tampering with evidence and is a registered sex offender.
