Memorial Park is again the focus of a city cleanup effort

More than 250 volunteers showed up to pitch in, according to the city, helping with a cleanup effort that cleared invasive ivy and blackberries from both parks. In addition, trails were cleared and new barkdust or gravel added. This included extensive work at Wilsonville's public off-leash dog park, one of the few areas in the city where dog owners may let their dogs run free on public property.

Before work got started that morning, participants were treated to an omelet breakfast prepared by the Wilsonville Rotary Club.

Spokesman photographer Josh Kulla paid a visit to Memorial Park Saturday morning, and you can view the photos below.
