Fun in the Park, now in its 14th year, will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Town Center Park

The event features hundreds of booths, entertainers and more, and is free for all comers.

The annual festival grew out of Wilsonville Celebration Days in October, started in 2000, which began as the pioneer-focused Boones Ferry Days that ran from 1970 through 1999.

Fun in the Park is a celebration of a “community coming together” and comes together thanks to the efforts of businesses, churches, clubs and civic groups. It involves more than 150 organizations and some 600 volunteers.

Creative fun has been a staple of Fun in the Park from its beginning. Patient volunteers provide the makings and guidance for a variety of fun crafts.

Entertainers — or “roving revelers” — will wander the event producing grins on the faces of attendees. There also will be games and other amusements for toddlers to teens, along with informational booths and food vendors.

Bring sunscreen, and come prepared to cool off in the water feature at Town Center Park.
