Van flipped on its roof at four-way stop of Boeckman Road and Canyon Creek Road

SUBMITTED PHOTO - The force of the impact turned the silver van on its roof, but the driver reported no injuries.During the morning of Wednesday, March 15, a car traveling East on Boeckman Road failed to stop at the four-way intersection of Canyon Creek Road and Boeckman Road. Entering the intersection, the car side-punched a van traveling North on Canyon Creek Road, flipping the van on its roof. Dispatch was called at 7:10 a.m. and officer Matt Swanson along with several other officers arrived on-site shortly thereafter.

"The car failed to stop at the stop sign and hit the van, which caused the van to flip over," Swanson said.

The driver of the car was issued a citation for failing to stop and only sustained minor injuries. Despite the van being turned over and the side metal being crumpled, Swanson said that "it looked a lot worse than the injuries that" the driver of the van reported, saying that she was "shook up" but was otherwise alright.
