The City of Wilsonville will have openings on multiple boards and commissions beginning in 2018 and applications for those will be accepted until Nov. 30. Volunteers who serve will be assisting the City by making recommendations to the Wilsonville City Council.
The Wilsonville Budget Committee is composed of City Councilors and five citizen members who serve three-year terms. The committee meets primarily in spring to review the City budget proposed by the City Manager and make recommendations.
The Wilsonville Planning Commission reviews development proposals to ensure public health, safety and welfare of citizens is maintained. Seven members make up the commission, which also serves as the City's Committee for Citizen Involvement, conducting informal public meetings to encourage the exchange of ideas.
The Wilsonville Tourism Committee is seeking two members with direct connections to the tourism and hospitality industry. Members do not need to live or work in Wilsonville. The committee implements tourism development strategies and oversees grant programs.
The Wilsonville-Metro Community Enhancement Committee is seeking two three-year term members and another to serve until June 2018. The group meets in spring to review program submissions for recommendation to City Council.
