Wildcats vying for third-straight trip to playoffs

Coach: Mick Johnson (first year)

Last year: 18-9, 10-4 in the NWOC (third); lost to Redmond in the Class 5A first round

Key players: Sarah Harms, Hannah Lopez, Stephanie Stamnes

Key losses: Kayleah Starr, Rebecca Ollison, Maddie Wharton, Brynn Lio, Sarah Roberts, Katie Conroy

Outlook: Despite the graduation of six all-league seniors and the departure of coach Dan Kane, the Wilsonville softball team will seek its third-straight trip to the playoffs under new coach Mick Johnson. Returning first-team all-league pitcher Sarah Harms, who will continue her career at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute next year, is the Wildcats’ ace in the circle. Other key contributors include first baseman Stephanie Stamnes, third baseman Hannah Lopez, shortstop Kylee Allen, pitcher Lauren Bell, catcher Katie Enbody, centerfielder Skyler Mathews and utility players ChiAnn Morris, Morgan Miller, Lauren Isaak and Makenzie Atwood.
