Girls lacrosse: Wilsonville perfect as West Linn looms

Wildcats cruise past Newberg, Century and Tualatin


by: JEFF GOODMAN / PAMPLIN MEDIA GROUP - McKena Eisenbrandt (center) and the Wilsonville girls lacrosse team crushed Century 19-3 in a league game April 8 at Randall Stadium.The Wilsonville girls lacrosse team continued its tear through conference play this past week with dominant wins against Newberg, Hillsboro-Century and Tualatin.

The sixth-ranked Wildcats crushed Newberg 18-2 at home April 7, clobbered Century 19-3 at home April 8 and scored a season high in a 22-7 triumph over Tualatin.

Wilsonville (6-0, 5-0 in the Northwest League) outscored opponents 95-15 in its first six conference contests.

In the recent win over Tualatin, seniors Abby Chase and Alexa Dube notched five goals apiece and Sarah Johnson added a hat trick. Bailey Kummerman and Alex Monello each chipped in two goals. Anna Dennis, Emma Jeffries and McKena Eisenbrandt also scored for the Wildcats.

Wilsonville has added to its schedule an April 22 home game against top-ranked West Linn.
