Wilsonville's Perry Rodenbeck took first place at 170 pounds in an impressive run

SPOKESMAN PHOTO: TANNER RUSS - Perry Rodenbeck took first place at 170 pounds at Liberty High Schools tournament on Dec. 16. Wilsonville competed in the Liberty Invitational tournament on Saturday, Dec. 16 and came out of it with some positive results.

Last years state finalist Perry Rodenbeck dominated his bracket, winning four straight matches at 170 pounds. After a bye in the first round, Rodenbeck pinned McMinnville's Noah Spencer, Pendleton's Ian Bannister at just 26 seconds, and decisioned McNary's Brayden Ebbs to reach the finals. In the final round, Rodenbeck defeated Clackamas's Ethan Edgerly by technical fall 16-1 to take first place.

At 152 pounds, Tyson Resko pinned four of his opponents, while succumbing to a decision against McMinnville's Noah Wachsmuth.
