The Wildcats handled the 6A Tigers en route to a decisive win, including two shutouts by singles

Wilsonville's number one single Samantha Monello defeated Newberg's Sarah Dixon 2-0, winning 6-1 and 6-4. The number three single, Izzy Gonzalez won by the same margin against her opponent, Adrianna Kern. Most impressively though the number two and four singles Elle Berry and Madeline Kline each won a clear cut shutout against their opponents, winning 12 straight games en route to their match victories. For the doubles, Newberg's number one pair of Annika Selke and Hannah Daley beat Cara and Kamille Rule 2-0, going 2-6 and 5-7. Wilsonville would also drop the number four doubles matchup, as Megan Yochim and Maddie Giese were bested 2-0, dropping 12 of 19 games.

The number two double team of Ana Sweetland and Sydney Byun picked up Wilsonville's fifth win 2-0, winning 6-4 and 6-1. In the only split set match of the day, number three doubles pair Honar Colby and Sophie Heilig battled Newberg's Jessica Bue and Sicily Hampton over the course of three sets. Colby and Heilig won the first set 6-3, but dropped the subsequent set 4-6. In the deciding third set, Wilsonville's number three doubles team won 10 games to Newberg's two.

Wilsonville is scheduled to compete against Parkrose on Tuesday, May 1 in its last league match of the season.
