Springfest 2014 court announced

On Jan. 17, Wilsonville High School announced the names of students who will serve on the school’s 2014 Springfest court. The following young women will serve as ladies of the court: Justine Cohen, Rachel Hawkins, Annika Oetken, Paige Peterson, Carolina Ramirez Islas, Madison Rasmussen, Jessica Small and Kylie Whittaker.

The following young men will serve as gentlemen of the court: Andrew Fairrington, John Hodson, Jason Kummerman, Austin Miller, Levi Rule, Alex Tomlinson, Brendan Tonkin and Michael Town. Springfest will take place April 11.

Chamber to focus on schools

The Wilsonville Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the West Linn Chamber of Commerce and other groups, will meet Jan. 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tonkin Wilsonville Nissan. The meeting will be in support of Tonkin’s annual “For the Love of School” fun run. Attendees at the meeting will learn what chambers together can do to help. Food will be served.

Donate coats to Clackamas County Clothes Closet

The Clackamas County Clothes Closet reports particular need right now for gently used boys coats to meet the growing need of families in Clackamas County. During the last school year, the Clothes Closet served more than 825 families throughout the county. So far this school year, 621 families have visited the Clothes Closet to seek clothing for children in need.

The Clothes Closet is located at the old Oregon City High School building, 1306 12th St. in Oregon City. It is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from September through May. Donations may also be left for the Clothes Closet at the main office of the building, which is open during normal school hours.
