Three Rivers Charter School unveiled a new addition to its school thanks to a generous donation from the West Linn Rotary Club

Three Rivers Charter School received a new addition Tuesday, June 13, when the school unveiled its new peace pole thanks to a donation from the West Linn Rotary Club. Each grade level spent the previous week brainstorming keywords related to peace, eventually crafting messages that were written on ribbons.

The ribbons included messages like "If we could find peace in ourselves then we can spread peace to others," and "Peace starts with you when you choose to leave conflict behind. Show love when you can and bake more cookies."

Students and staff tied the ribbons to the peace pole Thursday morning to commemorate the school's ongoing committment to promoting peace in the world.TIDINGS PHOTO: ANDREW KILSTROM - Three Rivers Charter School students do the honors, placing the peace pole in front of the school.
