Students at Lowrie Primary got their wheels ready to ride during the Wheel A Thon fundraiser

Students at Lowrie Primary got their wheels ready to ride during the Wheel A Thon fundraiser Friday, Oct. 6, and all together raised over $22,000. Since children are riding bikes around the track, the focus was not just on fundraising, but safety when wheeling, encouraging kids to walk or wheel to school instead of drive. And with orange being the chosen color of the year, school spirit was seen everywhere. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO - The kindergarten class kicks off the event. Students wheel a shortened track since the main track around the school has a slight hill.
