Family evening aims for fellowship and sharing, learning about traditions and celebrations

SPOKESMAN PHOTO: VERN UYETAKE - Elissa Lee reads a story to families during the Nov. 9 Dual Language Family Evening. Both Lowrie and Trillium Creek primary schools participate in the West Linn-Wilsonville School District's dual language program and participating families were invited to attend the Dual Language Family Evening Thursday, Nov. 9, from 6-7:30 p.m.

Families had the chance to get to know one another and sit at different stations to learn about traditions and celebrations like Dia de los Muertos — Day of the Dead. Families were also able to learn about what their students are up to in class.
