by: WILSONVILLE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE - New Wilsonville Chamber of Commerce Communications Director Krissy Rowan.The Wilsonville Area Chamber of Commerce recently announced that Krissy Rowan was hired as director of marketing and ccommunications.

Rowan will lead all strategic communication and marketing efforts to disseminate the initiatives, positions, programs and accomplishments of the Wilsonville Area Chamber of Commerce and its 598 business members.

"I am very pleased to welcome Rowan to the organization," said Steve Gilmore, chief executive officer of the chamber. "Her background in promotions and social media, along with her dynamic and enthusiastic personality, earned her a spot on the team."

Rowan has more than 10 years of marketing and public relations experience. Prior to joining the chamber, she served as director of communications for the Washington County Museum. There, she executed a marketing and public relations campaign that attracted a record numbers of visitors to the museum. Earlier in her career, Rowan worked for Golden Media, an advertising agency, where she was instrumental in the execution of a $500,000 advertising campaign. She also served as marketing assistant at Britt Festivals, where she created and implemented a social media marketing plan.

"The board and staff of the chamber have worked hard over the years to generate greater visibility for members and the business community as a whole," said Ray Phelps, chamber president. "I am looking forward to see Rowan utilize her experience to amplify our existing efforts and build upon our past successes."
