Beam, Urban Development + Partners shared developer role for spec office project

Located on a half-block along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, the 90,400-square-foot building will feature six levels of creative office space above ground-floor retail and underground parking. The office spaces feature cross-laminated floors and glulam timber framing, while foundation levels are post-tensioned concrete. The project is the result of a joint venture between developers Beam and UD+P and property owner Portland Music Co., which had a store and offices at the location until 2016. The spec office building's design and programs are intended to complement two other nearby Beam and UD+Partners projects, the Hotel Chamberlain and 550 MLK.
