The retail shop is the outdoor lifestyle brand's first brick-and-mortar in Portland.

COURTESY PHOTO - The outdoor brand Cotopaxi opened its first brick-and-mortar retail story in Uptown Portland.Apparel and outdoor gear brand Cotopaxi opened up its first brick-and-mortar retail shop in Portland on April 15.

The new Cotopaxi shop is located at 816 N.W. 23rd Ave. This comes as the downtown Portland real estate market is looking up as, a growing number of workers return to offices.

Ethan White is Cotopaxi's director of retail operations.

"Portland really aligns with Cotopaxi's energy, color and values, and we couldn't be more thrilled to bring the brand to this progressive community," White said. "With exceptional access to the outdoors, as well as an energetic urban lifestyle, the city is the perfect location for this new storefront and we look forward to welcoming visitors and locals alike."

According to Cotopaxi, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, the brand is carbon-neutral and was founded with the intention of creating sustainably designed products. Cotopaxi aims to be using entirely repurposed, recycled or responsible materials by 2025, and contributes 1% of its annual revenue to nonprofit partners.
