Washington County seeks input on NW 174th Ave project in Bethany
Washington County is hosting an online open house for a pedestrian improvement project on Northwest 174th Avenue in the Bethany area through June 25.
The county's Land Use & Transportation department is proposing a new sidewalk on the east side of 174th Avenue between Lapaloma and Solano lanes. The project would complete a pedestrian crossing across Carlyle Creek.
The project is expected to cost $503,000. Funding will come from House Bill 2017 and the Urban Road Maintenance District (URMD).
County officials say the project was selected for funding based on public requests and the URMD advisory committee.
The project is currently being designed. The county estimates construction will kick off in July 2023 and continue through spring 2024.
