The two-day event in Bend invites all employers, managers and workers to attend.

PAMPLIN MEDIA GROUP: JONATHAN HOUSE  - Learn all about the latest safety best practices at a fall OSHA conference in Bend.Employers and workers can learn new skills concerning workplace health and safety, network with industry professionals and share best practices at an OSHA conference coming up this fall.

The Central Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Conference is scheduled for Sept. 19-20, at the Riverhouse on the Deschutes in Bend. OSHA encourages employers, managers and workers to attend.

The two-day event is slated to offer sessions focusing on safety and health challenges, especially in fire and emergency services, as well as how to reduce negative impacts of stress, addressing natural gas emergencies, respiratory protection management and requirements, improving safety culture, and improving employees' psychological resilience.

Marie Knight of Knight Leadership Solutions is a featured keynote speaker at the event.

"In a nutshell, if you are not leading your life, something or someone else is," Knight said. "We have to take control and be intentional about how we lead our lives."

The conference is a joint effort between Oregon OSHA and the Central Oregon Safety & Health Association.
