A bountiful fall feast at the Beaverton Farmers Market
The weather may be getting a little colder, but the Beaverton Farmers Market is heating up, with tons of exciting developments on the plate in the next month—both figuratively and literally!
Our fall market, with its NEW HOURS of 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. every Saturday through November 18th, is in full swing, and that means tons of delicious Oregon produce for you to bring home. There are tons of apples and pears in the market, as well as squash, carrots, kale, beets, Brussels sprouts, and more available from our vendors—we even have fresh Oregon cranberries in the market right now!
In addition to great produce and wonderful artisan items from our vendors, the Beaverton Farmers Market is pleased to host author Karen Locke on Saturday, November 4th. Karen will be on hand to sign copies of her recently published book: High-Proof PDX: A Spirited Guide to Portland's Craft Distilling Scene. In High-Proof PDX, Karen shares with readers what they need to know before, during, and after a spirits tasting tour of Portland's craft distilling scene.
And of course, our free Market Sprouts Kids Club, which aims to inspire and empower children to take part in their local food systems and make healthy choices, will be holding a fun Harvest Activity on November 4th that is open to all kids 5-12.
Make sure to stop by the Beaverton Farmers Market any Saturday through November 18th from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and see all of the great in-season, artisan products available from local farms and producers!
