Just because it is winter doesn't mean you can't enjoy nature's delicious bounty! Now that our farmers market is open, you can easily shop for your favorite locally-grown winter vegetables from our farmers.

Sweet potatoes, onions, carrots, and other root vegetables are excellent for stews, soups, and stir fry.

Brussel sprouts and purple broccoli are excellent for roasting.

Beets, cabbage, chard, chicories, and spinach are all high in vitamins and nutrients which are needed during the cold winter months.

Don't forget about apples and pears.

Most people expect a 52-week availability on all produce; foods are no longer considered 'in season' when they can be grown in greenhouses or different climates. But the farmers at Beaverton Farmers Market strive to grow the best produce for you while offering the bounty of winter. And with less distance to travel to reach the consumer, in-season vegetables will lose less nutrients.
