Creekside Village serves up fine dining
Imagine a delicious dinner of poached salmon, beef tenderloin served Oscar-style topped with crab meat and hollandaise sauce, sweet potato souffle, broiled asparagus and a strawberry trifle- sounds delicious, right? Well, that was Friday night's dinner at Creekside Village.
Walt Bauder heads up the kitchen at Creekside Village as Food Services Director where he is known for his excellent cooking and friendly personality. Bauder worked at Elmer's Restaurant for 16 years as both restaurant manager and kitchen manager. He began his career at Creekside Village 28 years ago where loves cooking for his residents. Today, Bauder cooks for nearly 125 people nightly with a staff of 25 including Sous Chef Chris Petrie and chefs Mike Rushing and James Baker.
"Everything we put out to our residents is of restaurant quality or better," he said. "We care about what we do, we would never serve a meal that we wouldn't enjoy ourselves. It goes beyond just a job for me; it's like hanging out with family, we are all friends here."
Creekside Village offers meal tickets for residents rather than a set package. We understand that many senior residents prefer a light meal or will enjoy their leftovers for tomorrows lunch. With meal tickets, residents are encouraged to bring guests to dine with them, the more the merrier! Residents can bring their own wine or beer to dinner and if they choose to eat in their room, tray service is also available.
At Creekside Village, our focus is family. Our residents have the luxury of living independently with excellent amenities like dining, housekeeping and activities in a beautiful setting and dedicated staff. Call today to schedule a tour to see how we can make your senior years shine.
