It goes without saying that our first responders are truly heroic and Beaverton Lodge thanks each of you!
Over the last year we have watched our medical first responders, the nurses, doctors and administrators fight the deadly Covid-19 with fearlessness and grace knowing it could be more months before we can see relief. They work long hours away from their families and patiently adapt to new protocols and supply shortages. Our care nurses and essential workers at Beaverton Lodge too, are experiencing a new way of connecting with our residents and guiding us through new guidelines to keep everyone safe. Paramount to our care nurses is the physical and mental wellbeing of our seniors and we appreciate them all.
Firefighters across the state were tasked with fighting catastrophic woodland fires and worked through their exhaustion to protect people and property; they continued to work as the smoke filled the valley and Oregonians became increasingly more aware of the loss of our beautiful wonderlands. On days when we call our first responders to Beaverton Lodge, they show up quickly and professionally with deep regard to our residents and their health. They take the time to listen to our seniors while attending to their medical needs with care.
We recognize that being a first responder is more than just a uniform or a job. It's a deep-seated desire to run into help those in need and to care for and protect them.
From all of us at Beaverton Lodge, please help us salute our first responders
