2020 might have been a difficult year, but before we close the book on it, we want to show you our dedication to end the year on a positive note.
While following the state-mandated protocols for Covid-19 safety, we are making enjoyable memories. We will be offering Life Coaching sessions for our residents by a certified Coach to continue to provide positive strategies and encouraging interactions during what is to many, a stressful year. We are working on our holiday plans to ensure our residents can celebrate together and enjoy the blessings of the season physically, mentally and of course spiritually safely.
Within the safety guidelines, our residents are enjoying watching documentaries in our Media Room and the discussions that follow and our library is open, with a limited schedule and guest capacity. Our seniors are utilizing the hundreds of books on the shelves along with a UV system for scanning books and purifiers to clean the air.
Staying active, both physically and mentally is known to benefit seniors. It lowers the risk of high blood pressure, stroke and symptoms of depression while improving cognitive health.
Gray skies and cold weather doesn't have to be a time for the blues, unless it's Bluesman John Coltrane and you're sitting by a fire reading a book sipping something warm. Call Beaverton Lodge today and let us show you our community.
