Another holiday season living through the pandemic. And though this pandemic seems to drag on and on, time is still precious. For seniors, it has been incredibly difficult to live through the pandemic. If they live alone, our precious elderly can struggle with loneliness and the pandemic protocols have exasperated their isolation while increasing fears of contracting Covid-19.

This holiday, make a point to reach out to your senior relatives, neighbors, and friends. If you can, stop by for a cup of coffee, call them, write a letter, or schedule a virtual meeting. The ways we can communicate are amazing and taking the time to show you care can brighten any senior's day.

At Beaverton Lodge, we are hopeful to have family over for Christmas dinner. Hopeful. As of now, we are still waiting to see how infection numbers are, but no matter, we will spend time with our residents and bring them joy over the holidays. Living at Beaverton Lodge has been a gift to our residents who have made numerous friendships, enjoy events and activities together and feel the sense of community we foster as an organization. Even during the pandemic, we keep spirits high by encouraging the connections we crave as people.

We value and cherish our time with our residents and hope you can too. We love hearing about who you are from our seniors and look forward to the times when we can meet again and feel the warmth of a smile.

From our families to yours, have a joyous Thanksgiving and blessed holiday season.
