No one injured in hit-and-run incidents

An Aloha man was arrested early Saturday morning after a hit-and-run crash into two parked vehicles near his residence.

Bruce Jones, 39, was arrested and lodged in the Washington County Jail.

Washington County sheriff's deputies responded at 12:46 a.m. to a crash in the 16600 block of Southwest Oak Street in Aloha. Area neighbors placed several 911 calls reporting two crashes in close proximity to each other. by: WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE - A Lexus was was pushed about 25 feet from the point of impact in an apparent hit-and-run on early Saturday morning in which two vehicles were struck and damaged. No one was injured in the incidents.

When deputies arrived, they located two previously parked vehicles in the middle of the street. One of the vehicles was a pickup truck pushed about 30 feet from the point of impact. A second car, a Lexus, had also been struck and pushed about 25 feet from the point of impact.

Both vehicles had significant damage, said Sgt. David Thompson, a sheriff's office spokesman, and a suspect vehicle had left the scene.

No one was injured in any of the crashes.

Checking the area for the suspect's car, deputies found an Audi that was smoking with major front-end damage about two blocks away from the wrecked vehicles. They identified the house where the suspect's car was registered and contacted Jones, Thompson said.

Deputies arrested Jones on allegations of driving under the influence of intoxicants and hit and run. He was booked into the jail.
