Another driver causes Jennifer Barry to lose control, state patrol says.

A Beaverton woman killed in a traffic accident in Washington on Saturday morning was identified Monday as 43-year-old Jennifer L. Barry.

Barry was killed when another driver hit her Volkswagen Jetta on Interstate 5 near Olympia in Thurston County, causing her car to lose control, leave the roadway and land on its roof.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Guy Gill confirmed reports that the other driver, 26-year-old Patrick L. Martin of Seattle, was under the influence of marijuana and traveling at speeds of 100 miles per hour or more at the time of the 5:39 a.m. crash. Martin, who was not injured, was lodged in jail on suspicion of vehicular homicide.

Martin's passenger, Shayna Harris, 31, of Lakewood, Wash., was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.
