Bean will perform and answer questions at the event, beginning at 7 p.m., Nov. 30, in the Stampfer Chapel, 2900 S.W. Peaceful Lane

The Institute for Judaic Studies and Congregation Neveh Shalom host the second of the "Fruit of the Vine" series to highlight talent and scholars who were brought up in the local community. Bean is best known for playing Elphaba in the Broadway musical “Wicked.” Her music is available on iTunes, including her latest EP “Shadows to Light.”

She also has performed in the Broadway musical “Beaches” as CeeCee Bloom. She sang back up for Michael Jackson for his 30th anniversary concert at Madison Square Garden and arranged vocals for Jennifer Lopez’s American Idol performance.

There is an $8 suggested donation at the door.
