Washington County DA Bob Hermann honored
Fight Crime: Invest in Kids Oregon honors Hermann with its Children's Award for 2015
Washington County District Attorney and Oregon District Attorney Association President Bob Hermann was honored with the prestigious Fight Crime: Invest in Kids Oregon Childrens Crime Fighting Award at the Oregon District Attorneys Associations annual meeting and training session on Dec. 2 in Lincoln City.
Preventing more kids from becoming criminals should be a higher priority ... than waiting for them to fill jail beds and is in the best interest of our children and our communities, said Martha Brooks, Fight Crime: Invest in Kids State Director. Bob Hermann shares that vision and has worked tirelessly with policymakers and the public to encourage them to make wise investments in early prevention programs.
Hermann was specifically honored for his work on child abuse and neglect prevention, adequate and safe foster care, quality early childhood and care programs, Head Start, pre-kindergarten, and after school programs.
Brooks, who presented the award along with Crook County District Attorney and Incoming Oregon District Attorney Association President Daina Vitolins, added:
We are pleased to honor Mr. Hermann for his commitment to early intervention and prevention programs that help give kids the right start in life, she said.
Hermann has been a member of Oregon District Attorney Association for the last 12 years. Fight Crime: Invest in Kids Oregon is a statewide, bipartisan, anti-crime non-profit organization led by over 160 district attorneys, police chiefs, sheriffs, other law enforcement leaders and violence survivors and over 5000 members nationally.
