Air quality issues force activities to cease for Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District

THE TIMES: MANDY FEDER-SAWYER - THPRD announced cancellations of activities due to air quality. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 11:45 am:  Due to concerns about air quality in the Beaverton area, all youth and adult activities scheduled at Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District's outdoor facilities and fields have been canceled for today.  This includes any activities scheduled for the Raleigh Swim Center, Somerset West Swim Center, and the Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center splash pad. In addition, outdoor park maintenance activities will be curtailed and performed only when critical.  Management will continue to monitor conditions and make decisions about tomorrow and the rest of the week as appropriate.
