Beaverton

Monday, Feb. 26

n A Beaverton woman was arrested on a charge of drunken driving at Southwest Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway and Lombard Avenue.

n A Beaverton man was arrested on a charge of second-degree theft after he snatched a purse left behind by a customer at a business in the 8000 block of Southwest Canyon Road. The act was captured on a surveillance video, and he was found in possession of methamphetamine.

n A vehicle was reported stolen at an apartment complex in the 12000 block of Southwest 13th Street with the keys inside and the motor idling.

n A Beaverton man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of controlled substances and physical harassment connected with domestic violence in the 5000 block of Southwest Main Avenue.

n A new backpack blower valued at $465 was reported stolen from a landscaper working at the Elmonica MAX station.

n The lacrosse team at Southridge High School was out more than $2,000 when the victim wired money to a vendor in Indiana, based on what she thought was a message from the president of the team. It was not.

n Toner cartridges valued at more than $4,000 were reported stolen from a business in the 9000 block of Southwest Nimbus Avenue.

Tuesday, Feb. 27

n A Beaverton man was arrested on a charge of drunken driving at the southbound on-ramp from Southwest Allen Boulevard to Highway 217.

n A Portland woman was arrested on charges of theft, possession of heroin and providing false information to police after she took goods valued at $700 without paying from a business in the 11000 block of Southwest Canyon Road. A Portland man accompanying her was arrested on a charge of failing to carry or present a license.

Wednesday, Feb. 28

n A transient was arrested on a charge of trespassing on a light-rail right of way after she refused to get off a MAX train at the Elmonica station when a TriMet supervisor and police ordered her to do so.

n A Tigard man was arrested on a charge of drunken driving at Southwest Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway and 99th Avenue.

n A Vancouver, Wash., man was arrested on charges of online sexual corruption of a child and luring a minor in the 2000 block of Southwest Camelot Court. He thought he was meeting with a parent and two minors, ages 11 and 14, whom he had discussed plans to have sex, but was actually exchanging messages with an undercover officer.

n A Beaverton man was arrested on a charge of drunken driving in the 5000 block of Southwest Erickson Avenue.

Thursday, March 1

n A Beaverton woman was arrested on charges of drunken driving and reckless driving after she crashed into a planter box in the 3000 block of Southwest Murray Boulevard.

n A Beaverton man was arrested on charges of drunken driving and reckless driving after he struck another vehicle at Southwest Allen and Hall boulevards.

n A silver 2010 Jeep Wrangler and a blue 2013 Dodge Challenger RT were reported stolen from a business in the 12000 block of Southwest Canyon Road.

n A business in the 13000 block of Southwest Canyon Road reported that a former employee embezzled more than $65,000 over two or three years.

n A backpack blower valued at $600 was reported stolen from a shed in the 13000 block of Southwest Electric Street.

n Transmission and fuel filter wires were reported cut on a vehicle in the 15000 block of Southwest Breccia Drive.

n A Beaverton man was arrested on a charge of drunken driving on Sunset Highway eastbound near Northwest Murray Boulevard.

n A Hillsboro man was arrested on a charge of drunken driving after he crashed into a ditch at Southwest Scholls Ferry Road and Whitford Lane.

Friday, March 2

n A Beaverton man was arrested on a charge of drunken driving at Southwest Scholls Ferry Road and 135th Avenue.

n Household goods valued at $350 were reported stolen from an unlocked car in the 11000 block of Southwest Canyon Road.

n A Sherwood man was arrested on a charge of second-degree theft after he stole a purse containing cash, credit cards and a mobile phone in the 14000 block of Southwest Allen Boulevard. Patrons later found him in the 4000 block of Southwest Murray Boulevard and called police, who found the victim's wallet in his possession.

n A transient was arrested on a charge of fourth-degree assault after he struck a woman while they argued about the cleanliness of his truck, where they were living together. The incident occurred in the 10000 block of Southwest Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway.

n A Beaverton man was arrested on charges of menacing, unlawful use of a weapon and a felon possessing a firearm after he pointed a handgun at his girlfriend's son during an argument in the 6000 block of Southwest Dale Avenue.

Saturday, March 3

n A Beaverton man was arrested on two charges of fourth-degree assault at Northwest Schendel Avenue and Southwest Walker Road after he punched his fiancé in the face. Her brother watched but was punched numerous times while he attempted to protect her.

n A Woodland, Wash., man was arrested on a charge of drunken driving at the southbound on-ramp from Allen Boulevard to Highway 217.

n A Beaverton woman was arrested on a charge of harassment after a police officer asked her to stop yelling and she threw a box at him and struck him in the chest. The incident took place in the 16000 block of Southwest Gold View Way.

n A Beaverton man was arrested on warrants and charges of reckless driving, attempting to elude police and interfering with police at his home in the 7000 block of Southwest 195th Avenue.

Sunday, March 4

n A Beaverton man was arrested after he was ordered out of a business in the 4000 block of Southwest Watson Avenue, where he stole a drink. He then showed up at the east entry gate for vehicles at the Beaverton Police Department and began yelling. He was arrested 45 minutes later.

n A Beaverton man was arrested on charges of menacing and unlawful use of a weapon after he threatened his aunt with a large knife during an argument in the 12000 block of Southwest Center Street.

n A green 1996 Honda Accord was reported stolen from an apartment complex in the 12000 block of Southwest Allen Boulevard.

n A Portland man was arrested on several charges in the 2000 block of Southwest Cedar Hills Boulevard after he met a woman with his child, who he had not seen for six months, and got angry when she told him he could not take the child home. The man wrested her car keys away and threw them onto Southwest Cedar Hills Boulevard; the keys were not retrieved.

n A laptop computer valued at $1,000 and other items were reported stolen when someone broke a car window in the 9000 block of Southwest Allen Boulevard.

n A white 1993 Nissan Pathfinder was reported stolen from the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 12000 block of Southwest Pioneer Lane.

Tigard

In the last week, Tigard police reported the following: DUIIs - 2, Drug offenses - 1, Assault - 1, Resisting arrest - 1, Embezzlement - 1 and Outstanding warrants - 3

Monday, March 5

n Someone reported that a man in one of the dressing rooms at Value Village talked about how he wanted to "molest some of the kids in there."

n A man on the off-ramp at Highway 217 heading to Pacific Highway was reported holding a BB gun. He was later determined to have a warrant out for his arrest.

n A resident came into the Tigard Police Department to report fraud in the form of an internet scam.

n Someone in a green sedan was reported parked on Tiedeman Avenue near a field staring at kids working out in the field.

n An attempted burglary was reported in the 12100 block of 69th Avenue after a garage door window was discovered broken and the door appeared to have been kicked in.

n A statue in the backyard of a home in the 13100 block of Bull Mountain Road was reportedly thrown into the bushes. At the same time, roses were reported missing and a "No Trespassing" sign was reported missing from the edge of a driveway.

n Three cars of employees were reportedly "keyed" at an adult foster care home in the 12500 block of 134th Avenue.

n Criminal mischief was reported in the 7600 block of Dartmouth Street after a vehicle was found vandalized with both locks broken.

Sunday, March 4

n Someone called police to report seeing three people breaking into the Salvation Army donation trailer.

n Someone called to report a vehicle going 20 mph, almost hitting the curb several times at Pacific Highway and Dartmouth Street.

Saturday, March 3

n A resident called to report her car parked in the 16100 block of 108th Avenue had been "keyed."

n A resident called to report his vehicle parked on McDonald Street had been broken into and tools removed.

n Someone reported leaving a wallet at a gym in the 11500 block of Cornell Place. The wallet was returned but the victim later saw a charge on her debit card.

n An assault where a man was hit in the face was reported in the 10800 block of Hall Boulevard.

n A phony $50 bill was left at a business in the 15900 block of Upper Boones Ferry Road.

n A burglary was reported in the 8500 block of Pfaffle Street. The suspect was aware police had been called.

n A caller notified police that five to 10 transients had made a camp at Shady Lane and Greenburg Road.

n A person who had been "trespassed" at a business in the 12000 block of Main Street had returned.

Friday, March 2

n A vehicle was reported stolen from a residence in the 9300 block of Maplewood Drive.

n Someone reported a burglary to apartments in the 11200 block of Summerfield Drive.

n A caller reported what he believes is an ongoing problem with juveniles knocking over portable toilets in the 15100 block of Danube Drive.

n A woman reported a stolen purse she believes she left on a table at a food kiosk at Washington Square.

n An electrical box at Whistlers Lane and 121st Avenue appeared to have been broken into.

n A caller told police that a sizeable homeless camp was being set up at Shady Lane and 95th Avenue.

Thursday, March 1

n A person was reported outside a business in the 13500 block of Pacific Highway trying to sell people marijuana.

Wednesday, Feb. 28

n A suspicious person was reported in the 13500 block of Pacific Highway talking about not needing cops around and about gang affiliation.

n An incident of sex exposure was reported at Hall Boulevard and Bonita Road.

n Someone tried to cash a phony check written for $5,000 at a business in the 11700 block of Hall Boulevard.

Tuesday, Feb. 27

n Graffiti was reported on a caller's political signs in her yard and on signs in her neighbor's yard as well.

n Someone reportedly placed a "Diversity" sign over a "Habitat for Humanity" sign in a yard in the 13100 block of Chimney Ridge Street. The same thing happened to a neighbor as well.

n A resident reported a case of cyber-bullying.

n A group of transients were reported trespassing on property at Shady Lane and 95th Avenue.

Tualatin

Between Feb. 27 and March 5, Tualatin police reported 605 calls for service, 18 traffic crashes and 7 total arrests.

Tuesday, Feb. 27

n Someone driving a red Ford Mustang stole tools from a building in the 20100 block of 112th Avenue.

n A Sherwood resident was arrested at a Tualatin motel after he was found in possession of a stolen car containing stolen property. Another man with him was arrested on an outstanding warrant and being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon.

n A winch, valued at $300, was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 11000 block of Industrial Way.

n A Newberg man was arrested on outstanding traffic warrants including attempting to elude and reckless driving at Cipole and Herman roads.

n Someone stole items valued at $250 from a vehicle parked in the 6800 block of Nyberg Street.

n A hit and run accident was reported in the 19200 block of Martinazzi Avenue.

Wednesday, Feb. 28

n A man was arrested on an outstanding fugitive warrant in the 7500 block of Nyberg Street.

Thursday, March 1

n A man stole a case of beer from a convenience store in the 19400 block of Boones Ferry Road.

n An employee at a business in the 11300 block of Leveton Drive was "trespassed" for threatening to shoot his coworkers. He later said it was a joke he never should have made.The

Friday, March 2

n A driver stopped at Martinazzi Avenue and Tualatin-Sherwood Road was found to be driving while suspended and driving uninsured.

n A man was arrested in the 7400 block of Bridgeport Road after being found in a stolen vehicle.

Saturday, March 3

n Gang graffiti was found on a bridge in Durham City Park.

Sunday, March 4

n A Tualatin resident was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

n A resident reported that three of his bicycles, which had a total value of $6,000, were taken from the 18800 block of Lower Boones Ferry Road.

Monday, March 5

n A Portland man was arrested on a fugitive warrant at Tualatin Road and 90th Avenue.
