Man arrested for stabbing in Aloha
A man was captured and arrested Tuesday, March 13, on multiple charges after he stabbed another man at an apartment in Aloha.
Washington County Sheriff's Office deputies responded around 8:11 a.m. Tuesday to an apartment complex at 18700 S.W. Farmington Road on a reported assault. When deputies arrived, they found a 42-year-old man — whose identity has not been released — in his apartment with several stab wounds. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was identified as Matthew Jay Erb, 33, who fled the scene prior to the deputies' arrival.
Erb reportedly ran from the apartment. A Beaverton Police Department tracking dog assisted in the search, as did the Washington County Violent Crimes Unit and Forensics Science Unit.
At 11:33 a.m., a detective found Erb at a bus stop at Southwest 198th Avenue and Farmington Road. He was arrested without incident.
He is being held at the Washington County Jail and is charged with attempted murder, violation of a restraining order and an unrelated warrant for driving under the influence of intoxicants. His bail is set at $280,000.
