Investigation connected Robert Friesen to two separate attacks on women from May, June 2017

Robert Friesen A local man was sentenced to prison last week after pleading guilty in a Washington County Circuit Court to first-degree unlawful sexual penetration and attempted kidnapping.

In June 2017, Beaverton Police investigated the attempted kidnapping of a 16-year-old girl in the 5800 block of Southwest Erickson Avenue. In September 2017, detectives arrested and charged Robert Friesen with first-degree attempted kidnapping and unlawful use of a weapon. Evidence collected during the course of helped investigation helped link Friesen to another sexual assault that occurred on the 55000 block of Southwest 173rd Avenue in unincorporated Washington County in May 2017.

Police say Friesen's victim in that case was a 25-year-old woman.

Friesen was sentenced to 100 months in prison, 20 years of post-prison supervision and sex offender registry for the June 2017 crimes. He also was sentenced to 34 months and three years of post-prison supervision for the attempted kidnapping.
